IT Security: CONET Establishes Security Operation Center (SOC) for Customers and Partners

Hennef, November 22, 2018. Hennef-based IT system and consulting experts CONET will support the IT security of its customers and partners with its own Security Operation Center (SOC).

As cyber security challenges become more complex, many organizations lack the time and expertise to ensure a consistently high level of security and responsiveness in day-to-day business. The mission of an external SOC is to increase IT security through analysis, monitoring and alerting mechanisms using specialized professionals, products and processes.

In addition to security advice, security reports and a proactive alaysis and evaluation of the protection against cyber threats, this also includes special vulnerability and penetration tests. When security incidents are discovered, the SOC also helps in identifying and initiating appropriate countermeasures to address security vulnerabilities and minimize the impact of cyber attacks.

"With the services provided by our SOC, our customers will be able to rely on the know-how of our experienced security professionals in managing their IT security on a whole new level," CONET Managing Director Dirk Lieder explains. "In addition to an up-to-date assessment of the risk situation, this also includes support for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Our customers can confidently concentrate on their own core business, while we take care of essential routine security tasks."

"We expect to be able to offer our SOC portfolio to interested CONET customers in the first half of next year," adds the acknowledged security expert Frank Schneider, who, as Director Security Operation Center, is responsible for the development of the CONET SOC. Appropriately trained experts and technical capacities are already available.
