CONET’s donations in 2012 honor social commitment in the Rhine-Sieg area

Six local institutions and associations receive shares from a total donation of 16.000 Euro for their social work and special projects and plans

Hennef, 25th October 2012. The need for additional financial support for social, therapeutic and integrative work is huge as the CONET competition for charitable funds showed again. Various local associations and groups applied for a share from the CONET donation fund, which has been increased to a total of 16.000 Euro in 2012. Whether it is about buying new therapy equipment or to rebuild the own premises without barriers or to obtain enough funds to finance the daily work most dedicated groups own funds are not nearly sufficient.

From the projects submitted CONET’s jury chose this year six beneficiaries:

The winners of the 2012 CONET competition for charitable funds are:

  • Association Bröler Waldmäuse
    3.000 euros for the erection of a therapeutic swinging bar system in the integrative child daycare center
     
  • Kinderschutzbund (German Child Protection League) Hennef
    3.000 euros for the project „big ones help small ones“ to finance recreational and positive activation measures for children from disadvantaged families for whom public support is insufficient
     
  • Ecumenical Asscociation Ruppichteroth
    3.000,- Euro to finance a barrier-free automatic door for wheelchair-using children in the integrative groups of a kindergarten
     
  • Special needs school Sankt Ansgar of Caritas-youth welfare Hennef
    3.000,- Euro to finance the school lunch for the „Didactus“-class for children with behavioural disorders
     
  • Tischlein Deck-Dich (Food bank) Niederkassel
    2.000 euros to help feed people in need in Niederkassel
     
  • AWO Bonn/Rhein-Sieg
    2.000 euro for the food bank in Hennef

“The diversity and the scope of the social engagement of the many groups and associations who have applied to us for a donation is very impressing“, says Rüdiger Zeyen, Chairman of the Board of CONET Technologies AG. To select the winners from the many applications is not easy for the jury, which consists of employees from all levels. „In the end, we are convinced to have selected projects which will bring forward Hennef and in the region Region,” adds Zeyen. This is the main goal of the CONET competition for charitable funds which has since become a traditional institution.
