The History of CONET

CONET has been supporting companies and public authorities in the implementation of demanding digitization projects since 1987. With a steadily growing workforce of highly qualified consultants, software professionals, and IT specialists, as well as continuously increasing annual sales, CONET is one of the leading full-service IT providers and digitization partners in the German-speaking world. At the same time, CONET is also expanding its network of locations in Germany and Europe. And how did it come to that?
Milestones of 35 years of CONET
| 1987 | Entry into the Commercial Register in Euskirchen as CoNet Computer & Netzwerke GmbH. |
| 1989 | Relocation from the „Home Office“ into the first rented offices in Siegburg. |
| 1991 | Relocation of the headquarters to Hennef. |
| 1992 | CONET earns more than 10 Million D-Mark. |
| 1994 | Founding of CONET’s Neubrandenburg branch office. |
| 1997 | First and since that time continuing certification according to ISO 9001. |
| 1998 | CONET earns more than 30 Million D-Mark. |
| 1999 | Opening of CONET’s branch office in Berlin. |
| 2000 | Setting up CONET’s branch office in Augsburg. |
| 2004 | CONET earns 30 Millionen Euros. |
| 2009 | The bross AG becomes a part of the CONET group of companies with the new name of CONET Services. |
| 2011 |
weisser+böhle GmbH becomes a CONET company and bundles all SAP services as CONET Business Consultants GmbH. CONET achieves an annual turnover of about 45 Million Euro. |
| 2012 | From a Joint Venture in Vienna emerges CONET Communications GmbH. |
| 2015 | CONET comes in 4th place among the best medium-sized German IT systems and consulting companies (Computerwoche survey). |
| 2017 | Niederkassel-based ACT Gruppe joins the CONET group of companies. |
| 2018 |
CONET Technologies AG is renamed and reformed into CONET Technologies Holding GmbH. CONET comes in 2nd place among the best medium-sized German IT systems and consulting companies (Computerwoche survey). Düsseldorf-based Babiel GmbH joins the CONET group of companies. |
| 2019 |
CONET again receives the Top Job Certificate and is also rewarded as Best Employer of the Year. Munich-based PROCON IT AG joins the CONET group of companies. |
| 2020 |
The ACT companies are integrated into the CONET brand. |
| 2021 |
CONET Group is a certified Great Place to Work. CONET gains a new strategic partner with IK Partners. ISB AG, headquartered in Karlsruhe, becomes part of the CONET group of companies and changes its name to CONET ISB GmbH. |
| 2022 |
emineo AG, headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, becomes part of the CONET group of companies. CONET moves up to 3rd Place in industry-leading Lünendonk® Ranking in the Lünendonk list "Leading Medium-sized IT Consulting and System Integration Companies in Germany". |
| 2023 | CONET relocates its headquarters from Hennef to Bonn at the Neuer Kanzlerplatz, where it is bringing together the employees of the previous locations in Hennef and Niederkassel. |
| 2024 | CONET reaches top 1st position in industry-leading Lünendonk® Ranking in the Lünendonk list "Leading Medium-sized IT Consulting and System Integration Companies in Germany". |
| 2025 |
The Salesforce specialists at KERUN.ONE are joining the CONET Group, strengthening the platform expertise surrounding the Salesforce ecosystem. |
