QUEST Reaches Sixth Place in Ranking of Germany’s IT Staffing Services Providers
Frankfurt, Main / Hennef, September 25, 2012. With its 40 employees and annual sales of 50 million Euro in 2011, Frankfurt-based QUEST Softwaredienstleistung GmbH reached the sixth place in the current Lünendonk ranking of German providers of recruiting, placement and management of freelance IT experts. According to the analysis, the overall average increase in sales among the top ten IT staffing services providers in Germany amounted to 29 percent. With its 35 percent, QUEST has been able perform even better than the market average.
The key factor for these remarkable growth rates in the market for IT staffing services is, according to Lünendonk, the continuing tendency among large businesses to employ more and more freelance IT experts in order to supplement their own resources, make use of external know-how and increase overall flexibility in their operations. Especially IT and telecommunications provider, financial institutions and insurance companies as well as businesses in the fields of transport, logistics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals are driving these developments.
QUEST‘s Managing Director Kirby Weber confirms these findings and outlines the future potential for growth for his own company, which has become a member of CONET Group as of February 2012: “The Lünendonk analysis identifies project management, SAP expertise, enterprise resource planning, service-oriented architectures and pilot projects as the fields that are in special demand,” Weber explains. “As part of the CONET Group, we can now offer our customers not only our own freelance experts, but can also rely on experienced teams of project specialists in our affiliated companies.“
This is of special importance; after all, the Lündendonk analysis also shows that there are more and more so-called hybrid service providers among the top competitors. Their main characteristic is the combination of freelance expert staffing services with consulting and IT development, thus offering comprehensive one-stop solutions to their customers. ”In this regard, CONET Group is now more than ready for future growth and extending its market reach, because we are able to offer staffing just as well as extensive fixed-price projects and managed services,” QUEST’s Managing Director of Finance and CONET Group CIO Wilfried Pütz adds.
According to the Lündendonk analysis, the IT staffing providers expect considerable further double-digit growth rates in the upcoming years. These developments are facilitated by the continuously high demand for IT specialists, more flexibility in business operations and the fact that the procurement of external services is increasingly concentrated in the purchasing departments of large enterprises. “As the market analysis also shows, these factors will lead to a higher percentage of freelance experts relying on professional agency-like service providers like QUEST,” Weber insists. “For the freelance experts this will lead to a better planning reliability and follow-up projects. The purchasing at the customer, on the other hand, optimizes supplier relations and is able to reduce efforts and costs. A win-win situation for all stakeholders!“
